CiP's President and Secretary of the Board refurbished a locker donated by the Lee County Library to this community care project. We were able to raise the funding to purchase all the needed supplies for the project thanks to the public. We were also able to connect with local youth by having them draw on our coloring sheet what gardening meant to them. We then transferred their art onto the locker using a special method. Community members can have access to the seed library during business hours. They can grab the seeds they want, grow their crops, harvest, and returned collected seeds back to the seed library to keep the resource available for everyone. Our goal with this community care project was to encourage self-sustainability and reduce malnutrition and malnourishment in our community! We are proud to partner with the library on this project!
